It's premise is simple enough, and the depth of play is just right for an addicting mobile game. It's ease of access makes it a great game for mobile, plus the online multiplayer is really easy to get into. Most of my friends play it on their iPads ever since our school issued them (I don't play it because I don't like most iPad/"mobile type" games). Yet what I've seen from Hearthstone idicates that it is a worthy opponent. So much stuff packed into the game, great local and mostly okay online (at least for me), and a variety of characters. As far as scale of the game, Sm4sh has a lot going on. Sat 6th Dec I feel the same way with Sm4sh and Hearthstone to an extent.Nintendo didn't win the day for all of its related nominations, but secured the following awards, along with a couple that reflect well on the big N: on the 3DS.īeyond that, there were actual awards to be won. Nintendo played a prominent role, with Koji Kondo opening and closing the show - the latter with Imagine Dragons - with music pieces, and Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime also participating throughout the night. It perhaps veered too far back to bland PR speech occasionally, but there were also a number of nice moments and nods to wider gaming culture. The Game Awards may not boast the most innovative name, but the first ever ceremony for the new annual event went down relatively well in Las Vegas our live blog was a happier place than during the VGX broadcast last year.
